(read about it here.)
Greetings! In case you weren't yet sure, I'm Michael Dortch. The Michael Dortch who's been in the information technology business since the 1970s and who is currently a Senior Product Marketing Manager at ServiceNow, the coolest company in the cloud. Which makes almost all of the rest of the information about me on this site true, but not immediately relevant. But feel free to read and enjoy it anyway!
And if you have questions about how best to drive business benefits with information technology (IT), I have answers (and opinions, skills, and experience) that can help you to grow your business!
What I Do:
I've spent more than 30 years (whew!) translating things "technology people" (and companies) say and do...things like:
Software as a Service (SaaS) / Cloud Computing
Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
Social Media/"Web 2.0" (and Beyond!)
into things businesspeople can understand, act upon and use to their advantage...things like:
More Leads, Conversions and Customers
Better Customer / Partner / Prospect Care
Better, Faster Communications
Greater Competitive Agility & Responsiveness
Higher & Faster Revenues & Profits!
How I Do It:
+ With Webinars, blogs, presentations, white papers, collateral, custom research, consultation and coaching, in-person and/or remotely.
+ Professionally, and with passion, wit and humor. Collaboratively, independently, economically, effectively, on budget and on deadline!
+ With a complimentary, no-obligation initial consultation, via telephone, e-mail, Skype or in person (if you're local or paying travel expenses)!
Also, make sure to visit Focus.com, where I was Director of Research from July 2009 through October 2010, and where you can read and see numerous examples of my research and analysis, on topics ranging from the iPad for business to integrated collaboration. You can also register to watch any of the free live or archived Focus Webinars and wildly successful Focus Interactive Summits, for the inaugural editions of which I moderated the majority of sessions.
And for historical and entertainment value, here's a link to me speaking at the ManageFusion 08 Conference about trends in the IT analysis business:
